Media and Public Relations Team Leader - Salmon Habitat Restoration Program
As the Media and Public Relations Team Leader for the Salmon Habitat Restoration Program, it was my responsibility to maintain and manage our Facebook page. Because SHaRP's main operation is in the summer, I managed the page from the beginning of May through the end of August. I created a Social Media Calendar for planning, editing, and revision purposes, which is included below. I used the SHaRP Facebook page to introduce the team, provide educational information, update followers on projects, promote events, and to engage the public with SHaRP’s initiatives, to view the page, please follow this link: SHaRP Facebook Page. I scheduled posts to be released during peak engagement times (late-morning and early evening) as suggested by Facebook Insights and included visual content such as photographs, links, videos, and graphics when possible to garner higher post interest. Overall, the SHaRP Facebook page was very successful, organically reaching over 10,000 users and garnering over 1,000 reactions, comments, and shares in a period of 4 months.
