FIPR 233: Introduction to Film Production
"The Following" is a short film created by my classmates and I to express our understanding of the importance that narrative structure has in film-making. We were given the constraints of only working with still images, keeping the story under 2 minutes, and excluding dialogue or any form of sound. We decided to create a thriller of sorts, where the main character is paranoid that she is being followed, only to find out that her "stalker" simply wanted to return her lost cellphone. But wait, there's a twist! My role in the production of our film was writing, which involved coming up with the structure of the story and making sure the key plot points were successfully conveyed using only still images.
