To Do List Manager
CPSC 210: Software Construction
CPSC 210 was my first time working with Java, and for our term project, we were challenged with creating a Java application that incorporated a variety of techniques learned throughout the term. While working on this project, I had the opportunity to explore data flow, abstraction, sub-type polymorphism, testing, exceptions, and many industry-standard design patterns. While my finished to do list application is quite simple, I was able to keep my project open ended enough to successfully meet design review standards at each weekly check-in over the 12 weeks of the course. At the end of the term, the course team invited students to make an optional video highlighting our projects. I chose a humorous route, poking fun at the simplicity of my program in comparison to some of the more complex work done by CPSC majors. That being said, I am proud of the work I accomplished for this project, especially now that I am equipped to program in Java.
